Happy Easter. Hope The Bunny Found You.

It’s my favourite day of the year, especially when a dark chocolate Lindt bunny lands on your bed.

And continuing in the vein of good news, we managed to source a place locally in Hertford to fit us out with gas.  Bad news is, they can’t fit us in until Thursday 19 April.  This means we can’t even travel around England much as we have no heating, hot water, or cooker until the 19th.  So we’ll just keep visiting Eileen up at Chris’ warehouse and maybe take her out for day trips.  Thanks are therefore necessary to Andy and Carole for continuing to let us live in your house and use your spare car……

Meanwhile we’ve done a bit more shopping to keep the economy boosted.  We’re now the proud owners of a polarity tester, apparently they reverse the polarity in France at some camp sites!  We have coat hangers, tumblers, some teaspoons and most importantly, the electric cable for hooking up to power when we don’t want to run the battery flat.  We hope we’ve purchased the right one……we’ll check it out later today.

Apart from shopping, we finally did a bit of “touristing” yesterday.  We spent an hour in the neighbouring town of Ware visiting Scott’s Grotto http://www.scotts-grotto.org/CMS/index.php .  I have been there before, probably 28 years ago, but despite growing up so close to the place, Rodney had never been there.  It is hardly ever open, but it is worth visiting as it must be one of the biggest grottos in the UK.
