So here we go, travelling from over here, to over there. Not sure where over there is, but at the end of this jaunt in Eileen, I guess we’ll find out.

Just one Australian dollar can buy you an awful lot on a stopover from Sydney to London on Singapore Airlines.
Yes, this year we didn’t fly with Qantas and enjoyed far better service, tastier food and a break in the long journey taking us half-way around the world. Our $1 each bought us a transfer from the airport to the V Lavender Hotel, a night in a small but perfectly formed room, a day-ticket for The Hop On Hop Off Bus, a ride on the Flyer (like the London Eye big wheel), a visit to both of the enormous conservatories at the Gardens by the Bay, two plates of twelve yummy sate sticks with rice patty and bits of cucumber at Satay By The Bay and a river cruise down to the Harbour and back up to Clarke Quay. I added up the cost of what we should have paid for all this: a total of $237 each; what a bargain!!! We did pay for a second night at the hotel, to make the mini break a little more relaxing and I’m glad we did, because we appreciated the transfer back to the airport and were both a little less exhausted when we got back on the plane for the thirteen-hour flight from Singapore to London.

Thankyou for your kind comments……
The gardens look beautiful…Definitely looking at a stop over next year to UK.
Sod off, we’re too busy working to read this rubbish
