While watching all the bikers packing up and leaving, we could feel Reggie tremble with the noise and vibration of their machines. And then everything went quiet. Before we set off, Rodney spent a while chatting with two Belgian cyclists who were pedalling 120kms per day from Belgium, across France, to Malaga in Spain, accompanied by a friend driving a motorhome and catering to all their needs!
So after sticking everything back in its lock-away places, we upped sticks and drove out of the campsite, dumping the dead fan in the bin at the gate. We didn’t get far before spotting a large Eroski supermarket. Good start to the day; we managed to buy a can-opener and a new desk fan. Cool tuna could be on the menu tonight.
Tudela turned out to be rather a disappointment, so we didn’t stay long and continued on south to Zaragoza. There was only one choice of campsite anywhere near the city, but for a municipal campsite it turned out to be quite nice.
