Cycle Ride And Sushi

Rodney cycled off early for croissants and pastries, which we ate with more of my apricot jammy sauce stuff for breakfast. We needed a catch-up morning, so some washing was done, the blog and photos were updated, one cupboard was emptied and re-packed and finally at 11:30am we both set off on our bikes.  We headed south along the cycle track which, more or less, follows the lake.  It’s an old railway line, so it’s fairly flat and it was quite busy with cyclists of all ages and types.  I love the ones that come along in packs, with all the snazzy gear on, though I wish they would ring their bells occasionally so you know they’re coming up behind you.

Cycling Lake Annecy

We travelled about 7.5 kms before heading back north and stopping for our picnic at a lovely spot with views of the lake and mountains beyond.  Then we dropped down in to Duingt to gaze at the Chateauvieux before heading back to the campsite.  I’m still travelling very slowly on my bike, so Rodney, in need of a bit of speed, continued on to Annecy before turning back to Eileen.  After all that exercise, I fell asleep in my chair while trying to read my book…..

Final highlight of the day was walking round the corner to Tokyo Sushi ( yippee!!!) for a sushi, sashimi, wok cooked food, buffet dinner with dessert.  We’ve pigged out totally and will now flop in to bed very stuffed and very tired.
