The first fun item we’ve purchased for the campervan is a tea towel with pictures of campervans on it, love it!!! As we’ve moved around England we’ve noticed that every town and village, even small ones, have an abundance of charity shops. We think they must be very posh because a new set of crockery at Tesco’s supermarket is cheaper than the charity shops…? But we have bought some good paperbacks at Oxfam for only 49p….bargain!

Our campervan teatowel

Generous friends are also helping us to save money by giving us things we’ll need. Thank you to Carole and Andy for the super frying pan, the duvet and blue quilt cover. Thank you also to Ang and Bill for the blue sheets, pillowcases and 2 egg cups. The décor in our ‘home’ is going to be very stylish with the bedding now toning nicely with our ‘classy’ blue patterned interior. Thank you Lynda and Steve for the Piglet mug which will go in the cupboard with our Cadbury Easter egg mugs.

On our stopover at Bluewater (an enormous shopping centre in Kent) we managed to find a sushi restaurant, oh the excitement! Sushi was one thing I thought I would really miss in England, so it was a nice surprise to find we will be able to have some occasionally. Though I’ve been told by Maxime that we won’t be able to find any when we are in France, dang.

Rodney has finally sorted out the insurance for the campervan, but on checking the policy there are a few errors; one of them being they’ve put me down as a male…… They are amending all the errors, but insist they cannot change my sex to female!!! So it seems we are now insured as two men, who are married, driving around in a “camp”ervan…… I better keep wearing a skirt when I’m on my bike……!

                 Laura and Bubbles the Bike

Things noted on our travels in England: Cadbury Crème Eggs definitely taste creamier in England…should I stock up on supplies in case they don’t sell them in France?
