After a lazy day yesterday, we packed in more villages today.\u00a0 It rained most of the night so we weren\u2019t inspired to make an early start.\u00a0 By the time we left the campsite it was 11:30am so with the boulangeries closing at midday for lunch, we made a desperately quick dash in to La Bugue for today\u2019s French stick.\u00a0 Today\u2019s tour was back through Les Eyzies and then north up the V\u00e9z\u00e8re Valley stopping at St L\u00e9on sur V\u00e9z\u00e8re for a stroll and finally Montignac.<\/p>\n

We had a late picnic by the river and then wandered the streets on both sides of the river.\u00a0All we could find\u00a0was a dreadful flea market full of absolutely nothing you would want to buy, so we didn\u2019t.\u00a0\u00a0 We headed south down to St Geni\u00e8s intending to treat ourselves to a hot chocolate or an ice cream in the picturesque village, but absolutely nothing was open, so we ate another raspberry jaffa cake and headed on south, bypassing Sarlat (we\u2019re saving that for another day) and pulled into Camping Le Capeyrou in Beynac-et-Cazenac.<\/p>\n

The campsite is the busiest we have come across yet, it\u2019s full of British, Dutch, Belgian, German, Swiss and French campers, but we\u2019re the only ones with a Union Jack sarong which is now being used as a back door fly screen\u2026..<\/p>\n

The view from the back window of Eileen is hard to believe.\u00a0 We are right by the Dordogne river and above us is the most amazing castle at the top of a cliff.\u00a0 Looks like we\u2019ve found tomorrow’s trip.<\/p>\n
