Saturday 30th<\/sup> May 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A lovely sunny day spent with old friends.  After a load of washing was pegged on the line, it was nice to be putting on some lighter, more summery clothes for a change.  We then hit the market in Croix de Vie where I bought a new French basket for stowing stuff needed en route between the seats in Reggie.  Rodney purchased himself a new straw hat and then it was back to La Fenouiller for lunch in the sunny garden and an afternoon of chatting and sewing a lining into my new basket.  Rodney and Kevin barbecued some huge entrecote steaks for dinner, and we finished the meal with fresh shiny strawberries from the market.  A lovely relaxing day all round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sunday 1 May 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Match Of The Day started the day, then the men went off to the market while the ladies researched the next campsite for tomorrow night.  We\u2019re heading to the Ile d\u2019 Ol\u00e9ron and Julia and Kevin have decided to come with us as they haven\u2019t been there before.  By mid-afternoon we all needed to get out for a walk, so Kevin drove us over to Lac Jaunay for a good stroll beside the lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we got back Rodney decided to try and turn Reggie around so that he could drive forwards down the long driveway rather than attempt to reverse all the way in the morning.  With Kevin waving his arms at the front end of Reggie, me waving my arms around at the back and Julia hastily pruning big branches on the rose bushes, he managed to avoid scraping the overhanging balcony, the concrete corner post and only destroyed a small section of the oleander bush. It took about twenty shunting manoeuvres, but Reggie is now set up to squeeze straight down the driveway when we leave in the morning, phew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
