It’s now the last day of our fifth week and we’ve decided we need to spend it slowly. So the very short cycle ride in to Brantôme and a stroll around the few streets was just nice. We bought a lovely little dish painted with poppies to put oil and balsamic in for dipping our bread. And we used it for today’s lunch as soon as we got back to Eileen .

We’ve read our books, chatted to the ducks that keep strolling past, had a swim and it looks like dinner will be outside under the awning again. It’s 5:30pm and the thermometer is still showing 38˚c in the shade!
Bonne journée
Brantome looks beautiful – still no poeple – do they all have air conditioning?
