Our beloved Roddles turns 60 today and thousands around the World have turned out to help him celebrate this momentous occasion…
There were fireworks to open the proceedings…
The rain didn’t keep the crowds away, they all wanted to be there to wish him a happy 60th birthday.
…and you couldn’t keep Rodney’s old girl friends away from this event either, they weren’t going to miss this for anything. They obviously all have very fond memories of Rodney and these girls said that he’d spoilt them for other men.
It was only fitting that the River Thames be the back drop so that Rodney’s fellow merchant sailors from around the World could join in the festivities.
Many celebrities took time out of their busy schedule to help celebrate Rodney’s special day.
…and finally Rodney acknowledged all his well wishers by wearing his special birthday fancy dress outfit while waving the Union Jack. No wonder we all love him so much.
What a day it was, certainly one that will be remembered. In fact in years to come you’ll be able to recall where you were on the day that Rodney turned 60.
And the very best of wishes to you too, Bob. I look forward to you joining the old people’s club. We’ll have a drink together when we get back in July.
